This guide covers the essential steps and requirements for integrating ShipBob with Connect3PL, detailing the process and individual connection flows.
ShipBob serves as an extensive solution for managing multi-channel inventory and fulfillment. The integration capabilities with Connect3PL cover a range of functionalities for the ShipBob Fulfillment connector, including:
Data Flows:
Push product catalogs - Push product catalog information to ShipBob: Turning on this flow will enable Connect3PL to push your product catalog (originating from an order source ) to ShipBob.
Push shipping requests - Push shipping requests to ShipBob: Turning on this flow will enable Connect3PL to send a shipping request to ShipBob for your orders as they are pulled in by Connect3PL from different order sources.
Push inbound shipments - Facilitates the communication of (inbound shipment) details to ShipBob. Turning on this flow will enable Connect3PL to push a notification of an inbound shipment to ShipBob for processing.
Pull inventory quantities - Pull inventory information from ShipBob: Turning on this flow will enable Connect3PL to pull inventory quantities per product, which can then be pushed to your other integrations such as your ERP or Inventory Management software.
Pull fulfillment details - Pull fulfillments from ShipBob: Turning on this flow will enable Connect3PL to pull fulfillment/tracking data for each order once it is available. At this point, Connect3PL will push that data back to your order source where applicable.
Pull receipt information - Pull receipts from ShipBob: Turning on this flow will enable Connect3PL to pull receipts from ShipBob, which can then be pushed to another connected integration ( for example your ERP or Inventory Management software)
Pull warehouse locations (this feature is activated by default) - Pull locations from ShipBob: This flow is turned on by default during the initial connection.
Prerequisites for Integration:
1. Confirm that you are signed in to your ShipBob Fulfillment account.
2. Have your administrative login details ready, as they are crucial for setting up the connection with Connect3PL.
Note that ShipBob utilizes country abbreviations instead of full names. To ensure proper processing of shipping requests, it's necessary to activate Address Normalization in Connect3PL by navigating to Configuration > Profile and selecting the Address Normalization option.
Steps to Link ShipBob Fulfillment with Connect3PL:
1. In Connect3PL, go to the Integrations section.
2. Choose the option to add a new integration and find ShipBob in the list.
3. After adding ShipBob, proceed through the Flow Settings, leaving default settings for initial setup.
4. Log into your ShipBob account and establish the connection.
5. Once connected, it's important to examine the specific connection flows to ensure accurate order processing.
With your ShipBob account now linked and your connection flows set up according to your preferences, it's a good moment to go over additional settings that could enhance how your orders are processed and fulfilled.
Integration-Specific Settings:
Shipping Requests: Restrict shipping requests to specific order IDs for more focused processing.
Fulfillment Updates: Exclude certain SKUs in fulfillment reports to avoid including materials or components not meant for shipping.
Product Selection: Limit the product data pushed to ShipBob to specific SKUs only.
Inventory Management: Opt to process inventory data for selected products and enable on-demand synchronization of inventory data.
By following these guidelines, you can efficiently manage your orders and fulfillments through the integration of ShipBob and Connect3PL.
